Samsung Electronics (SSNHY) said it has made 3 million shipments of its Galaxy S smartphone to the United States, out of 7 million worldwide.
Supply of the phones, which run on Google’s (GOOG) Android software, has been constrained by the Samsung AMOLED display technology, Chief Marketing Officer Paul Golden told Reuters. The phone went on sale in the United States in July.
