Department store operator Macy’s reported a third-quarter profit, with earnings topping Wall Street expectations due in part to a move toward tailored local offerings and the return of upscale customers to its Bloomingdale’s stores.
Macy’s said it earned $10 million, compared to a loss of $35 million in the same period last year.
