Shares in Asia rose Monday, boosted by better-than-expected industrial production numbers from China. In Hong Kong the Hang Seng Index climbed 1.9% and in China the Shanghai Composite Index advanced 0.9%. In Japan the Nikkei 225 Index was also up 0.9%.
