U.S. Charities See Sharp Decline in Donations

The biggest U.S. charities saw the sharpest decline in donations in 20 years in 2009, with donations down by an average of 11%, according to The Chronicle of Philanthropy.

Gates, Buffett Will Promote Philanthropy to China’s Rich

Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are scheduled to dine with Chinese businessmen Wednesday in a bid to promote philanthropy in the world’s second-largest economy.
